eSoft’s ThreatWall network security product picks up secure content management award for performance, ease of use and support.

ESoft has announced that its ThreatWall has been awarded by SC Magazine the esteemed “SC Magazine Recommended” status in the publication’s September Secure Content Management (SCM) group test. eSoft’s ThreatWall was also the only product in the test to receive 5 out of 5 stars in every category evaluated: Features, Performance, Ease of Use, Documentation, Support, and Value for Money. eSoft’s ThreatWall was up against SCM solutions from CA, CP Secure, McAfee, and SmoothWall.

Reviewers describe installation of the ThreatWall as simple and note the handy LCD feature and helpful setup wizard, which eliminates the need for documentation to help with setup. As with all eSoft solutions, product documentation is available from the eSoft website and off the device using the help button on any screen. As for marks against the product, reviewers couldn’t come up with any.

“SC Magazine is consistently asking the right questions of vendors and thoroughly testing the features enterprise customers require today, so we’re thrilled to be honoured again by the publication’s lab,” said Robert Peterson, Senior Product Line Manager of eSoft. “With two SC Magazine Best Buy and now three Recommended awards in just over a year, we’re certain that we’re responding quickly to our customers’ needs in today’s rapidly changing world of network security.”
