New UK office for Protegrity to be led by VP for EMEA operations as the company drives its expansion into the European market

Protegrity has announced the expansion of its EMEA operations with the appointment of Ian Schenkel to the newly created post of Vice President EMEA and the opening of a new office in Amersham, Buckinghamshire.

Due in part to strong sales of Protegrity’s solutions in the EMEA region, the company has seen record revenue growth each year for the last three years. In his role as Vice President EMEA, Schenkel will be responsible for continuing the growth of Protegrity’s EMEA business by increasing awareness of it’s data security offerings while continuing to build Protegrity’s position as a thought leader in the enterprise data security space.

Prior to joining Protegrity, Schenkel served as managing director of EMEA with AirMagnet, the provider of security, performance and compliance solutions for wireless LANs where he doubled the size of the EMEA organization and implemented a highly successful distribution strategy. Previously, as vice president of EMEA for Sygate Technologies, Schenkel built a regional sales, customer service and operations organisation and led a team that grew revenues dramatically.

“Demand for Protegrity’s data security management solutions continues to increase rapidly in EMEA and to support this growth we welcome Ian to the Protegrity team,” said Gordon Rapkin, CEO of Protegrity. “Ian brings a wealth of experience to Protegrity that will enable us to continue to
provide our existing and future customers with the highest level of data protection, service and support.'

“Protegrity is already known for providing innovative data security solutions that help protect against data breaches with minimal impact to existing systems and processes,” said Schenkel. “In partnership with my colleagues, I look forward to driving the future of data security solutions that balance business and operational needs with the risk of data loss.”
