Secure data services from Interxion including the managed business continuity service of data back up and restoration has been chosen by Ngage Solutions

Interxion has been selected to supply Secure Data Service (SDS), its managed online back-up and restore solution, to Ngage Solutions, the innovative provider of business improvement and economic development services. Interxion SDS will provide Ngage Solutions with cutting-edge, agentless back-up as part of their IT support package to the UK government-funded Business Link service. Business Link provides information, advice and support to small businesses across the UK, and forms a critical element of the government's campaign to promote enterprise, by fast-tracking expert advice to help small businesses make the most of their opportunities.

“We needed a secure, robust, remotely manageable enterprise-class back-up solution that could be used by our remote offices via an internet connection, and the Interxion SDS solution is the best fit by far,” said Peter Davis, Customer Systems Manager,Ngage Solutions.

“Interxion’s agentless technology offers a high-performance, cost effective, scalable service that backs up a range of applications and systems, including Exchange, SQL and Sharepoint. The system gives us the option of configuring back-up data sets of up to 100GB and archiving non-changeable documentation. It also identifies mp3s and other non-business data to eliminate them from the back-up, reducing the window required.”

“Interxion’s SDS is an excellent service for organisations dealing with large volumes of business critical data,” said Greg McCulloch, Managing Director of Interxion UK

“It only requires the installation of a single piece of software on the back-up server, and there are no additional hardware, back-up, software or connection costs. This minimizes the Capex involved. We now have approximately 500 unique users of this service, all of whom can rest assured that their data is safely housed in an enterprise-class data centre and available whenever they need it.”
