Data quality management attributes of Datanomic software products recognised by The Information Difference, adding to the list of recent accolades for the Fraud Prevention vendor

The Information Difference, an independent analyst firm focused on Master Data Management (MDM), is the latest in a series of industry analysts to acknowledge Datanomic’s increasing market leadership and growth. In its new Data Quality Market report, published in May, the firm cites Datanomic as a leading vendor of enterprise data quality management software. It’s just the latest in a series of reports from industry analysts, including Gartner, Bloor Research, Butler Group and The 451 Group that recognise Datanomic’s strong performance.

The Information Difference Data Quality Market report assesses 22 of the leading data quality management software vendors. It evaluates ‘market strength’ in terms of growth, financial position, geographic scope and partner network, alongside technical functionality, customer feedback and references. The report recognises a significant increase in Datanomic’s technology and market strength compared to the previous review in 2008.

Andy Hayler, CEO of The Information Difference, said, “Datanomic has made impressive commercial headway in the last two years, partly by focusing its energies around compliance in the financial services industry. It invested heavily in its technology offering and is now seeing the fruits of this investment.”

Gartner also recently promoted Datanomic in the “Visionaries” quadrant of the “Magic Quadrant for Data Quality Tools” (Ted Friedman, Andreas Bitterer, June 2009). Likewise, Bloor Research has recognised Datanomic as a leading vendor in two new Market Update reports looking at data cleansing and data quality platforms. The extensive capabilities and easy configuration of Datanomic’s dn:Director led to Research Director, Philip Howard, placing Datanomic in the prized ‘Innovator’ sector, concluding the Data Quality Market Update report by saying that “for ease of use, Datanomic is probably the market leader.”

In a recent report by The 451 Group, Enterprise Software Analyst Krishna Roy commented, “We think Datanomic's strategy to continue to diversify beyond its stronghold in UK financial services is sound, given the turbulence this sector has undergone over the past 12 months. We also believe using indirect sales routes into new arenas is wise, given that direct operations would add to its cost base. Ease of use by a nontechnical audience for arenas beyond name and addressing cleansing has always been one of dn:Director's key strengths, and it's something advancements in 7.1 continue to emphasise.”

Sarah Burnett, Research Analyst for Butler Group took an in-depth look at dn:Director 7.0, the latest major release of Datanomic’s fully integrated data quality solution and concluded, “Butler Group believes dn:Director to be an impressive solution for companies looking to bolster their data quality and associated processes and practices.”
