The E7 production facility in Indiana will boost the region’s economy and create thousands of jobs
Carbon’s executive team and the E7 converged on Connersville, Indiana to attend “A Rally for American Jobs” at the invitation of Governor Mitch Daniels and Mayor Leonard Urban. Thousands of Hoosiers turned out for this historic and emotional event that simultaneously ran live on 3 major television networks. It was only appropriate to announce the creation of 10,000 new direct and indirect American jobs in a region where the unemployment rate has hit 16%, a shuttered facility with environmental concerns could be turned into a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified industrial campus, and we could channel the tremendous American spirit and capability of a community towards producing a world-class product for our nation’s law enforcement first responders. CNN covered the story with their local affiliate, Kimberly King at WXIN – Channel 59. Kimberly attended the Rally and reported LIVE as Carbon’s Chairman and CEO, William Santana Li, announced that the “police car capital of the world” is now Connersville, Indiana. US Senators Dick Luger and Evan Bayh, and US Representatives Mike Pence, Dan Burton, Andre Carson and Brad Ellsworth also all attended the Rally via video, congratulating the Governor, Fayette County and the City of Connersville for their tremendous achievement for their communities and State.
