Successful German partnership for Tag Guard

Early success of BetaGuard in German market results from partnership with European Security specialists, Securitas

Tag Guard reports that towards the end of last year, it set up a wholly owned German subsidiary, BetaGuard GmbH, with Tag Guard’s range of wireless and temporary security solutions launched onto the German market at the Security Exhibition in Essen in October 2008. Significant interest was created amongst German security buyers and specifiers visiting BetaGuard’s stand at the Show, amongst them Securitas GmbH who subsequently approached BetaGuard with a view to setting up a commercial partnership for the German market.

Before agreeing to the partnership, Tag Guard say that senior personnel from Securitas visited Holland where their Dutch subsidiary, BetaGuard BV, have Tag Guard equipment in use at different customers’ locations such as major utilities and construction sites. These site visits convinced Securitas management that there would be significant potential in the German market if the two companies worked together.

The partnership means that Securitas, with its extensive presence in the German market, can expand the portfolio of products and services offered to its existing and prospective client base, with the addition of Tag Guard’s award winning wireless security solutions.

Richard Lang, Managing Director of Tag Guard Systems, comments, “This commercial partnership between our German subsidiary and Securitas GmbH has already delivered a major success; Securitas offered BetaGuard security equipment to work in tandem with its own manned guarding solutions at a huge construction project in Köln – the construction client accepted this ‘winning combination’ and a major order was secured.

“With an established Dutch subsidiary serving the Benelux markets and our new subsidiary making rapid headway in the vast German security equipment market, we feel confident that Europe will become ever more important to our business”.
