The security arm of Guardian Technologies focuses on aviation security with scanning software for screening airline baggage, air freight and sea cargo.

Guardian Technologies' PinPoint threat detection software enhances the accuracy of screening systems through image analysis to improve the probability of detection of items in baggage and freight that poses a threat to security such as weapons and explosives.

PinPoint manages to improve passenger throughput in airport terminals and improve security staff efficiency by significantly reducing the false positive rate of standard screening systems without the benefit of PinPoint software. By reducing the false positive rate, less time is spent by security personnel manually checking through suspect baggage.

PinPoint software can also be used for human screening, drug detection and surveillance image enhancement.
